Introduction to the International High School Curriculum of NFLSFC

南外方山國(guó)際高中是劍橋考試局認(rèn)證的A-Level國(guó)際課程中心。國(guó)際高中課程設(shè)置豐富多元，除了常規(guī)的語(yǔ)數(shù)外物化等課程外，還開設(shè)了經(jīng)濟(jì)、藝術(shù)、地理等小眾課程。高一階段，學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)5門IG課程，高二學(xué)生根據(jù)留學(xué)方向選擇3-4門課程參加AS考試；高三則參加A2考試。以上國(guó)際考試學(xué)生均可在本校參加完成。

The International High School (IHS) Department of Nanjing Foreign Language School Fangshan Campus (NFLSFC) is the A-Level International Curriculum Center certified by Cambridge Assessment International Education. It boasts a rich and diverse curricula. On the basis of completing the required courses like Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics and Biology, a variety of elective courses are offered at the same time, such as Economics, Art and Geography. Grade 10 students will be engaged in 5 IG courses, and grade 11 students could choose 3 to 4 courses for AS examinations based on their plans for studying abroad. Meanwhile, grade 12 students will concentrate on A2 examinations. All these international examinations can be completed in our school.

國(guó)際高中采取小班化教學(xué)，每班人數(shù)不超過(guò)25人，確保每個(gè)學(xué)生都能得到足夠的關(guān)注。在進(jìn)行小班化教學(xué)的同時(shí)，南外方山國(guó)際高中還根據(jù)學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言成績(jī)開展分層教學(xué)。英語(yǔ)成績(jī)較好的學(xué)生，可以選修法語(yǔ)、日語(yǔ)等小語(yǔ)種，以及數(shù)學(xué)、物理競(jìng)賽等背提項(xiàng)目；同時(shí)，南外方山分校國(guó)際高中積極將國(guó)際競(jìng)賽項(xiàng)目引入學(xué)校，讓學(xué)生在校內(nèi)就能參加國(guó)際競(jìng)賽。英語(yǔ)相對(duì)薄弱的學(xué)生，在常規(guī)英語(yǔ)課之外，會(huì)為他們提供針對(duì)性的語(yǔ)言強(qiáng)化課程。

IHS department adopts small class teaching, with less than 25 students in each class, every student receives enough attention. In addition to this, IHS department carries out stratified teaching based on students' language achievements. Students who are good at English may choose a second foreign language like French or Japanese, as well as academic enrichment programs including Mathematics and Physics competitions. In the meantime, IHS department introduces an increasing number of international competitions in order that students will be able to participate in these competitions directly in our school. Moreover, targeted intensive language courses are available for those who require English support.

南外方山分校國(guó)際高中教師隊(duì)伍中既有畢業(yè)于名牌大學(xué)的博士，也有多年在名校一線執(zhí)教、教育教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的骨干教師，還有一批朝氣蓬勃、對(duì)教育事業(yè)飽含激情的青年教師，他們思維靈活、知識(shí)廣博，善于貼近學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)和生活指導(dǎo)，已然成為學(xué)生的良師益友。

IHS department is equipped with sufficient numbers of qualified teachers. It has outstanding teachers who possess doctoral degrees from prestigious universities, key teachers who have many years of first-hand experience in education and teaching, and a group of young teachers who are full of vigor and passion for education. All of them are open-minded, knowledgeable and dedicated to be students’ mentors in terms of their study and lives.

德育方面，導(dǎo)師制是南外方山分校國(guó)際高中學(xué)生發(fā)展指導(dǎo)體系的重要組成部分之一。國(guó)際高中充分利用小班化優(yōu)勢(shì)，在班主任老師外引入了導(dǎo)師制。導(dǎo)師由學(xué)科教師擔(dān)任，每名導(dǎo)師負(fù)責(zé)3-4位學(xué)生。導(dǎo)師既是學(xué)生們的老師，又是知心好友。導(dǎo)師們會(huì)針對(duì)學(xué)生的個(gè)性差異，因材施教，指導(dǎo)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)、思想、心理與生活，成為學(xué)生們學(xué)業(yè)的輔導(dǎo)者、思想的引導(dǎo)者、心理的疏導(dǎo)者和生活的指導(dǎo)者，確保學(xué)生們獲得所有他們需要的學(xué)術(shù)和生活支持。

When it comes to moral education, mentorship is one of the important components of the development guidance system for IHS students. IHS department makes full use of the advantages of small class teaching and introduces mentorship apart from head teachers. Normally, mentors are subject teachers, and one mentor is responsible for 3 to 4 students. They tend to be both teachers and intimate friends of students. Mentors always follow the principle of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and go to great lengths to guide students' study, thoughts, mentality and lives so as to ensure that all the students get the necessary academic and life support.
